Kirkland Rowell Survey
– Feedback from parents/carers is very important at Oulder Hill, and we will have sent out the Kirkland Rowell survey to help us to understand what is important to our students and their families, what we are doing well and what we can improve. The deadline for returning surveys to school is Wednesday 20th May. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
– The next Parent Forum meeting will take place on Tuesday 19th May from 6:00 until 7:30pm in the LRC. New and existing members are all welcome to attend. For more information about the Parent Forum, please contact Mrs Corlett at school.
Key Stage 3 Cricket
– The Oulder Hill Key Stage 3 cricket team played Audenshaw Boys School in the Lancashire Schools Cricket Cup. After losing the toss and having to bat first Oulder Hill made a respectable 86 runs off 20 overs. Top scorer was Ben Whitehead with 17 runs, he was also given Man of the Match for an outstanding display both with the bat and ball. Audenshaw, who had four players who represent their county, were outstanding with the bat and managed to achieve the 87 runs required with a few overs to spare. However, notable performances for Oulder Hill were from Mohid Ul-Haq who was superb with the ball, taking the key wickets of the Audenshaw opening batsmen. Tom Booth also had a solid all round display, scoring some vital runs and taking some important wickets. The team were disappointed to lose having put up such a good fight but will take confidence from this performance when they try and retain their Rochdale Schools Cricket title. The team were as follows: Tom Booth, Danny Devine, Ben Whitehead, Marcus Welsby, Aadam Latif, Lewis Midgley, Saud Zahid, Ismail Shahzada, Mohid Ul-Haq, Babar Rashid, Emmerson Bradshaw and Rayhan Iqbal. Thank you to Mr Pickles for accompanying and coaching the cricket team.
