Year 10 Parents’ Evening

– The Full Subject Parents’ Evening for Year 10 students will take place on Thursday 27th April, 4:00-7:00pm. Please ensure your child makes the relevant appointments with all their teachers.

Year 10 Careers Fair

– Year 10 Students recently attended a Careers Fair at Event City in Manchester. It was a fantastic experience for all involved with a great deal of insight and information gained. One of the most popular stalls at the event was the ITV stand where Students were able to meet regional news presenter Tony Morris who discussed how to access a career in the media. Another highlight for Students in addition to the many college and apprenticeship stalls was the special effects department who put on some amazing examples of their work, including sending ten of our Students back to school with various artificial scars and wounds which were so lifelike our first aid team didn’t know where to start!

Year 8 Football

– The Year 8 Boys Football Team won 8-0 against Matthew Moss in their penultimate league game of the season. Avoiding defeat in their final game will result in winning the league and promotion. Well done to all the students involved: Taylor Chambers, Harris Khan (1 goal), Spencer Allen, Josh Ward, Alex Johnson, Ethan Brierley (2 goals), Mahdi Choudhury, Hayden Bell (1 goal), Denny Green, Josh Smith (1 goal), Isaa Jawaid (3 goals), Jake Gretton and Subhan Ijaz.

– The Year 8 Boys Football team lost their Rochdale Schools Cup semi-final to a very strong Cardinal Langley side. Spencer Allen was the star performer for the team as he never gave up and worked tirelessly. Well done to all involved, it was a huge achievement to reach the final of the competition: Taylor Chambers, Alex Johnson, Spencer Allen, Harris Khan, Josh Ward, Ethan Brierley, Ethan Kwei-Sutcliffe, Ben Allen, Isaa Jawaid, Josh Smith and Hayden Bell.

Year 9 Football

– The Year 9 Football Team played Hollingworth High School in the quarter finals of the Rochdale Schools Cup competition and were unfortunately beaten 4-1 in a very close game. The team were as follows: Joe Oldham, Cameron McGhee, Lucas Dowd, Ethan Steel, Tommy Coleman, James Warburton, Mason Shortall, Maxx Wright, Edson Daio, Dion Parker-Minchin and Fabio Azvedo.
