If your child has been sent home to isolate due to a confirmed COVID-19 case in school, work will be set via their class page on Microsoft Teams, so for example if Period 1 they have Science then they should access this class on Teams where work will either be set or a lesson will be being delivered remotely.
There will be an expectation that students use their class books as normal to write any notes and complete any tasks. Worksheets for the lessons will be uploaded for use; these can be printed and written on or typed on directly. We ask that if you are unable to print, to save the work and on the students return we will organise a way for this to be printed.
If you do not have access to the Internet to allow this, then please contact the school and a paper pack will be organised. If your child (in particular Year 7’s and New Students) have not setup their Microsoft Office 365 Account for Teams, then please see the link below.
Here you will find a guide to using Microsoft Teams:

Dear parents/carer – the below link allows us to apply for an increase in data allowance during the current lockdown at no extra cost. If this would be a support and useful for you please can you complete by Friday 15th January.
Ms L Duley
Assistant Headteacher- Teaching and Learning, Science Teacher
Please read this statement, by completing a request for a temporary increase in data allowance you agree for your data to be processed.
Request an increase in mobile data allowance
Click above to request a temporary increase to the data allowance on a mobile phone device used for remote learning.
You must meet the following criteria:
- do not have fixed broadband at home
- cannot afford additional data for their devices
- are experiencing disruption to their face-to-face education
This scheme temporarily increases data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. This is so that children and young people can access remote education if their face-to-face education is disrupted.
School will submit your details to the Department for Education for processing. Once a network provider has processed a data increase, they’ll send a text message to the account holder.
